Day 191

Day 191
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
There is blessing to the group of people that are together a nation whose “God is the LORD”.  But those people who believe that by their large number of people and weaponry and power they can bless themselves are mistaken.  Because the LORD sees all from all both ends of eternity that God can control everything including eternal life and the simple daily life of having food instead of famine.

Psalms 33:12-19 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.
There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

We are blessed of God as a person or a nation when we seek after righteousness.  We are blessed of God when we seek Him first.
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Day 190

Day 190
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
Sin affects all aspects of our life.  Our entire life is affected from the physical and emotions beings.  When sin is not dealt with our bodies are affected.  But when we deal with our sin God brings healing in all areas.

Psalms 32:1-5 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

The Scriptures gives the answers to everyday problems of life.  This passage is neglected many times because it is not understood.  The Lord is interested in our lives including our physical and emotional well-being.  Both Old Testament and New Testament deals with how we can deal with sin that affects our entire life.

James 5:10-16 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he hath committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Day 189

Day 189
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
When we dwell in the Lord; no matter what the world attacks with will fail. We do not need to fear what the world can do.  The Lord gives light, strength, and shelter from all enemies.

Psalms 27:1-5 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

When we build our life on the rock of the truths we can stand the storms of life.  The key is to know the truths and do them.

Matthew 7:24-25 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Day 188

Day 188
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
The LORD is greater than all; but what a great description that gives us a glimpse of Him.  Praise the Lord for who he is.

Psalms 24:1-10 The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

What better reason to praise the Lord; than for him who gave us salvation.  What a great God who will show us mercy and grace.

1Peter 2:7-10 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Day 187

Day 187
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
Truth:
The law of the LORD is perfect; nothing else is needed to point one to their need of salvation.
The testimony of the LORD is sure; no other word is needed to trust in Lord to give one wisdom.
The statutes (principles) of the Lord are right;  nothing extra is needed and the absolute truths of Biblical principles should be followed and will always bring joy.
The commandments of the Lord are pure; will always bring clear understanding of truth.
The fear of the Lord is clean; a permanent making whole those who fear Him giving eternal life.
The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous: we can always trust the Lord’s way.

We are then given the truth that these things are greater than anything the world can offer and a warning that great reward comes to those who do; implying the opposite to be true if we do not follow them.

Psalms 19:7-11 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Where is your reward?  If in heaven than we are following Psalms 19.  If in this world we are not following Psalm 19.

Matthew 6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Day 186

Day 186
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word
The visible creation is so vast that all will see the glory of God. The vastness of creation leads us to the excitement of a marriage ceremony with all its anticipation of a future.  Also creation gives us strength to run that race of life.   If God can make all these things how much more can He provide for us.

Psalms 19:1-5 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

Though creation can be seen; it is the faith and trust in the God of creation that truly makes the difference.  When we reject the truth of creation we become fools.

Romans 1:20-22 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Day 185

Day 185
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
How do you describe the Lord?  All are just a small picture but the direction is always up and farther than we will ever be able to understand completely.  Rock, fortress, deliverer, strength, buckler, horn of salvation, high tower are the basics that lead us to call on the Lord.
Psalms 18:1-3 I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

No matter who we are we all must come to the Lord the same way.  All must call upon Him by faith.  What brings us to calling is the Word of God, which tells us who He is.

Rom 10:12-17 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Day 184

Day 184
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
The fool is one who does not see there is a God.  The reason they do not see is that they have no understanding in their own mind of God.  Human reasoning will not come to God as the conclusion.  The rejection of the truth of  righteousness always takes us away from God.  The truth comes from the counsel of the “poor”; those who realize they have nothing apart from God.  To know there is a God one must realize they is One who is greater then them.

Psalms 14:1-7 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.
There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.
Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

To be poor is to realize you have absolutely nothing.  Salvation comes to those who put their complete trust in the Lord.  To be poor is not someone who has less than someone else but someone who has nothing.

Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Day 183

Day 183
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
The Lord is holy and righteous in all He does.  The Lord is our foundation strong and sure.  The Lord sees all visible and invisible of all people.  The Lord hates the wicked and brings judgment to all.  The Lord loves the righteous and the look on His face shows it.

Psalms 11:1-7 In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.
If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

The spiritual warfare is evident in the lives of the believers.  The Lord hates the wicked so it should not be a surprise that the wicked hate the Lord and His people. But always remember that the Lord loves His own and commands us to love one another.  It may be that we are to love one another to encourage each other while we are being hated by the wicked.

1John 3:10-13 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

Day 182

Day182:
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
What great truth in who God is.  When we view all of creation; all of space, all of time and all of the visible tangible things, we can not imagine how big God really is.  Just imagine how great God is that he would even consider us by coming to us. God is so good.

Psalms 8:1-9 O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

The answer to why God came to us is that He would “taste death” for every man.  He came to save us from sin and to live with Him forever.

Hebrews 2:6-9 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him?
Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Day 181

Day 181
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
God is both the defense attorney and judge of the righteous.  God is the judge and executioner of the wicked.

Psalms 7:10-11 My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.
God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

Since God will be judge and executioner of the wicked, those who are righteous should put away those who are wicked.  This may seem like judging on our part and taking away from God’s judgment.   However, we are to make judgments so that we can protect ourselves from falling to the wicked and to protect others as well.

1Corinthians 5:11-13 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Day 180

Day 180
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
When we face the troubles of the day, we begin with seeing the forces of evil all around us and a feeling of hopelessness.  But when we see the Lord and call on Him we then see the victory.

Psalms 3:1-4 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

When we realize the God is greater than the world we then can know the difference between truth and lies.

1John 4:4-6 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Day 179

Day 179
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
The people of the world believe they know the truth because they can imagine it in their minds.  They set up rules and ways of living that oppose the Lord to convince others to follow their ways.  Those who hold to the truth are not to fall into the trap of those people and their thinking.  All of the worlds thinking and philosophy are laughable to God as they are so small as God is go Great.

Psalms 2:1-5 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.
When we try to pick between people we are going to follow it always end in trouble.  The practical to the principle is to always follow Christ and He will always bring us the leaders we need to follow.

We need to be rooted into Christ and established in the faith in order to avoid being spoiled with worldly thinking and philosophy.

Colosians 2:6-8 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Day 178

Day 178
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
Blessed by not following the ungodly counsel, the way of sinners, or become scornful.  Blessed to stand by truth of God’s law, which leads us to he LORD.  Strength and stability for life’s difficulties are granted by standing in the truth.

Psalms 1:1-6 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

When we do not follow the counsel of the ungodly, follow the sinners and become like them we are then subject to persecution.  But we can rejoice and be glad for the reward that comes.

Matthew 5:10-12 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Day 177

Day 177
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
Truth: God dwells where the truth of the law is.       (Commandments)
Truth: God dwells where the place of mercy is.         (Mercy Seat)
Truth: God dwells where it is always holy.                (Holy Place)
Truth: God dwells in the presence of creation.           (cherubs)
God dwelt in the Temple Solomon built.  His presence was obvious to all.

1Ki 8:3-11 And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.
And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.
And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims.
For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.
And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.
There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,
So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.

Is God’s presence in you?   This indwelling comes by faith.

Eph 3:14-19 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Day 176

Day 176
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word
Four hundred and twenty five years after the children of Israel walked out of Egypt, there was a fixed location for the place where God would meet with man.  This place is the southern end of a mountain range known as Mt Moriah.   This is the location where Melchizedek served the Lord as both priest and king of the Most High God whom Abraham paid tithes. At the northern end or highest peak of this range is the location where Christ was crucified.  This is also the location where Abraham placed Isaac on the alter. Gen 22:1-2 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.  And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. Gen 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

God’s timing and locations are perfect.

1Kings 6:1 And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.
1Kings 6:38 And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.

Day 175
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
Truth: worship of God is the utmost important thing in life.
Truth: True worship starts with humility of spirit
Truth: God gives all abilities we have and increases them to bring Glory to Himself
Truth: God always out gives us.

1Ki 3:2-14 Only the people sacrificed in high places, because there was no house built unto the name of the LORD, until those days.
And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.
And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.
In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.
And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.
And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.
Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
And the speech pleased the LORD, that Solomon had asked this thing.
      And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;
Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

When we seek knowledge, wisdom and abilities; it comes from having the fullness of God.

Eph 3:14-21 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Day 174

Day 174
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
Truth: Altars are an outward sign of a heart matter.
Truth: Altars are a memorial for the heart matters dealt with in the past.
Truth: Altars are to be returned to for both of the above reasons
Truth: Sacrifice is a personal act for the purpose of a greater good
Truth: Sacrifice must be costly to show value to yourself not for a show to others.
Truth: Sacrifices on the altars are a means to get a hold of God.

2Sa 24:19-25 And David, according to the saying of Gad, went up as the LORD commanded.
And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him: and Araunah went out, and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground.
And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people.
And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seemeth good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood.
All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, The LORD thy God accept thee.
And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.

All the altars and sacrifices mean nothing unless we come as it says in verse thirty nine,  “come in the name of the Lord”.   All the sacrifices and altars are all about Him.

Mat 23:19-25,39 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.
And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Day 173

A remider post from Day 1 of the purpose of this dail blog.  Praying that this is a help to you today and everyday.
Why do you do what you do? In your personal relationship with Christ or in your public worship in the church, you need to know why you do what you do. If you were to define your Christian life, how would you do it? Would you define it by what you do or by stating what you believe? In the Bible, James shows that you must do both.

James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

To define the faith side I would like to show that our faith is in the absolute truths of God’s Word. For the discussion, we will use the term “principle” for what we believe by faith - the absolute truths of God’s Word. We will use the term “practical” to define what we do - our works. This year, I am planning a daily blog to address the absolute truths in God’s Word and ways we can work to apply those truths. Our day needs to be filled with Biblical principles and practical actions that do not violate these principles. What I have found over a number of years of ministry is that people do not know why they do what they do, neither do they know why they believe what they believe. I hope this exercise will help provoke thought.
 Day 173

Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:

God is. That truth begins everything. There is none other. God is greater than His creation.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Colossians 1:15-17 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Why do you believe that God is: because the above verses show this clearly.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:

This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

Early in the morning at the beginning of the day, acknowledge the Lord by starting with prayer. “Lord I need you today.” Since God is, He is the only one Who can help you through your day. Why do you have time with the Lord in the morning: because God is.

On day one begin to make a list of everything you do on a daily basis, including those things on the schedule that do not seem to be spiritual things such as what you do for work or things as 1 Corinthians 10:31 says, Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Then find a Biblical principle to back up what you are doing.

Day 172

Day 172
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
David knew his God.  He knew a Triune God who spoke to him.  David understood the truth that God requires those who are in authority to lead from the position of justice along with honoring God Himself.  In this passage, we see God the Father in the God of Israel, God the Son in the Rock of Israel and God the Holy Spirit in the Spirit of the Lord.  No doubt of whom God is including in the Old Testament.

2Samuel 23:2-3 The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.
The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

Those who rule must do so with justice and fear of God.

Titus 1:6-9 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

Day 171

Day 171
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
There is only one God, He is Lord, He is strength and power, He works directly in my life.
2Samuel 22:31-38 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?
God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.
He maketh my feet like hinds' feet: and setteth me upon my high places.
He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.
I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

There is One God who works directly with the body of Christ the church.

Ephesians 4:4-8 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
