Humbleness is very difficult. As soon as we think we have reached it, we lose it. A daily process of dying to self is necessary. No matter what the event or people we are dealing with we must consider others first. I must remember just because I am right does not give me the right to make myself more than God makes me. God gives grace to the humble. I need God’s grace more than I need to make sure others know that I am right.

Life is important to God. God wants mankind to understand how important life is to God buy putting consequences on those who take a life. God’s plan is for people to bring in more life with children and penalty to those who take it away.

Genesis 9:6-7 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. 7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.

God keeps His promises in spite of what man does and how life seems to play out each day as unspiritual. God keeps His promises including being longsuffering so people will come to repentance.

Genesis 8:21-22 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. 22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

There are people I will continue to witness to in spite of their continued rejection. God gave compassion to Noah and all generations since then. God is not slack. So, I will continue to witness.

God gave all mankind an eternal spirit when He breathed into Adam the breath of life. But when that sin-ridden life dies, there are eternal consequences.

Genesis 7:22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

When God destroyed the earth with a flood; all those who had an eternal soul that were not in the ark died. Not only did they die physically, they died spiritually as they were eternally separated from God.

Daily I deal with people who do not consider God in their daily lives. They see no problem with living a worldly life and despise anything spiritual. I need to react to them remembering they are a living soul that they will spend eternity somewhere. My tone and conversation should always be in consideration of that.

1 Peter 2:12-17 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. 13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: 16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. 17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

Living life on ones own ability without consideration of God is wicked. In Noah’s day people were living their daily lives using their own abilities not thinking of God. Yes, this led to evil living and things we would consider as wicked. The wickedness was doing normal daily things such as in Sodom. The destruction came to Sodom because there were not ten righteous people. In Noah’s day, God saved the eight righteous people from a world that forgot God.

Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Luke 17:26-29 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

Waking up in the morning and eating breakfast to begin the day is a simple task. The practical is to stop and thank the Lord for another day to serve Him and to thank Him for the provision of food. Have you ever wondered why people prayed before meals? Perhaps it is to accomplish a practical way to apply the principle of not living life without God. It brought destruction to the entire world when people forgot to do the simple.

Worldly thinking says if one sees then one will believe. If someone can explain life so that I can understand it with my mind then I will believe. The Bible says in order for me to find life I must die. Matthew 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

In order to win, we must surrender. I need to walk with God in faith to see the truth.

There is only one way to God and only God’s plan of worship is the true way. There are not many ways to God and to worship Him it must be done God’s way.

Genesis 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

In the example of Abel, he offered up the sacrifice of the lamb as a testimony of his faith in God and His plan of salvation. The offering was not a work of salvation but an act of faith in the finished work of God for salvation. My practical application in life is that my worship should reflect what God has done for me; my worship should not be about me. Praise is to be to God.  

Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Colossians 3:16-17 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Day 3:

Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:

Satan is a liar and deceiver. Satan will make things look good and right. We need to not worry as much about what we are hearing as we should whom is speaking. Why do you believe what you believe, is it because someone you trust told you to believe it? If that person is not the Holy Spirit through the Holy Scriptures then please question it.

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Why do I believe what I believe is true? It is because of what we know from God’s Word.

Personal relationships allow us opportunity to interact with people during good times and bad. How many times do we give advice that sounds good but is a lie from Satan. How many times have you said to people, “Who am I to judge?” or “Don’t worry, it will all work out in the end?” Where do you find those principles in the Bible? They sound and look good just like the fruit in the midst of the garden but, are they true?

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Why do you give the advice you give? It should be from God’s Word and not a man-made philosophy.

Day 2

Man is a creation of God. Man did not evolve over millions of years. Man was made a living soul: body, soul (mind, will, emotions) and spirit (eternal being).

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Genesis 1:26-27 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 5:1-2 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; 2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

Why do I believe man was created by God and not by evolution: God’s Word is clear that God made us in His image and has a plan for our lives.

1Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Our body is not only a creation of God but has been purchased by His blood. What I do with and to my body must always be in consideration of God being in control of me. As the song goes: Oh, be careful little eyes what you see… Oh, be careful little feet where you go…Oh, be careful mouth what you say.  

Why do I look at what I look at, or places I go, or say what I say. The answer should be about honoring God for His creation.
