Day 75

Day 75
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
People when they look at world through human eyes see insurmountable obstacles.  Those who see through spiritual eyes see victory.

Num 13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Num 13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
1John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

We have victory with Christ.

1John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1Co 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
2Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Day 74

Day 74
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:

God sent the spies in to reveal back to the people that God was telling the truth about the promise land.  When asked to see if the people were “strong” or “weak” was not intended for them to determine whether they can defeat them.  God already promised them the victory.  The Hebrew word “strong” is the word that means stiff necked and rebellious.  The Hebrew word “weak” is the word for feeble of mind and body.   God wanted the children of Israel to the hearts of the people in the land.  Later we see that God commands that these people be destroyed as those who rebelled against God.
Num 13:17-20 And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain:
And see the land, what it is, and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;
And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;
And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.

We get the victory by faith.  We defeat the enemy by God’s power not our own.
Heb 11:33-35 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions.
Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

Heb 11:29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.

When there is no victory there is no faith. Notice that between these two verses there is not hall of faith because those who wondered in the wilderness because of unbelief did not live by faith.

Heb 11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.

Day 73

Day 73
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:

God expects all of His children to serve him and minister for Him.  God however does not give all authority.  God sets  certain ones to be held responsible and answer for God for groups of people.  When you defy that authority, then you defy God.

Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Num 12:1-16 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.
(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.
And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.
And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb.
And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.
And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.
And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.
And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.

The practical on this is very simple: follow God’s plan.
Heb 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

Day 72

Day 72:
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
.God establishes authorities in all aspects of life, but God desires to use all who will humble themselves.  Being an authority is not an end of the trail but a place that God puts people for His service.  Those not given authority are not relegated to a lesser role.  God wants all to serve and glorify God.  Good leaders love it when others serve God; it makes their responsibilities much easier.

Num 11:25-30 And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.
But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.
And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.
And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.
And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD's people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!
And Moses gat him into the camp, he and the elders of Israel.

Submission, humbleness and surrender is the command of all.  Both those with God given authority and those who are to submit to it are commanded to be humble.  Being exalted does not mean you become the authority but simply one God uses so others can see Him.

1Pe 5:1-7 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Day 71

Day 71
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:

God takes serious when people “walk contrary” to him.  The word contrary implies going in opposite direction.  This Hebrew word in this verse also implies on purpose.  God’s response to our going in opposite direction from God on purpose is met with equal reaction.  But God’s move comes with “fury”. This word indicates not only an anger but the root of this word was to use heat to change what is there.  The intensity of the fury was multiplied to seven times.  Again the idea of seven is to completion.  God in His fury still shows His love in restoration.  What a Great GOD we serve.

Lev 26:27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;
Lev 26:28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

Sin needs to have a reaction of severity.  A millstone around a neck is severe but in the midst of the judgment there is a message restoration.
Luk 17:1-4 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

Day 70

Day 70
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:

Sabbath is not an Old Testament thing that does not apply today.  The idea behind the Sabbath includes remembering how great God is as well as a rest that is much more than a physical thing.  The rest is the idea of ceasing to do the work yourself.  The Christian walk is all about ceasing the work ourselves and putting our trust in God’s power.  What better rest than just following God’s plan and resting in the fact that He will do the work and provide all that is needed?  When the children of Israel obeyed God by storing up in six years to deal with the year of rest, the seventh year; the children of Israel could rest and trust God during this Sabbath year.

Lev 25:2-7 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD.
Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.
That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.
And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee.
And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.

This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

God is not telling us to stop working and just pray that God provides all our needs. But the Lord is saying that once a week and once every seven years and once every fifty years we should remember that it has always been God who provided our needs because of who he is.  If we would take this approach and teach our children to rest in God, we would not loose the next generation.  If we would make our life one that always reminds us that God is ruler of all we would not soon turn to “idols” things of this world.

Mat 6:25-34 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Day 69

Day 69
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:

On purpose we are told to sanctify ourselves.  This implies that we are to set our selves apart from things that would draw our flesh away from the truth of God.  We are also instructed then to be holy.  This implies that we should surrender our spirit to God’s spirit, the Spirit filled life.  We are told to do this because of who the Lord Is.  Then and only then can we do what God has told us to do.  Then the Lord does something great… he reminds us that the LORD himself does a work of sanctification on us.  He is doing a work that sometimes we don’t see but we would not be able to do our part if He didn’t do His.

Lev 20:7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.
Lev 20:8 And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.

What are you doing today to surrender to God?
What are you doing today to fight the flesh and the world to prevent conforming to it?
What are you doing to affect your way of thinking that draws us to God by a transformation process?
What is good, acceptable, perfect will of God?  Do you know?

Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
