Biblical Principles Daily Devotionals Day 52

Why I Believe What I Believe

Day 52
Biblical Principle-Absolute truth from God's Word:
The Lord is God there is none other.  When people make idols they think they are reaching God by making gods.  Notice Aaron called for a feast around the calf to worship the LORD, Jehovah.  Truth: we can not worship God as we please, we must worship by faith to please Him.
Exodus 32:1 And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
Exodus 32:4-5 And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

Worship services in many of today’s churches are about putting a physical presence that is familiar with the people even though they appear to be worldly they are presented as a way to worship the LORD.  Does your worship services have a “golden calf” in it?  Or is your worship service about Truth in worshiping with your spirit and God’s communing.

John 4:21-24 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Biblical Principles Daily Devotionals Day 51

Why I Believe What I Believe

Day 51
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
God has always wanted a willing offering.  God does not make anyone give.  The offering is for the ministry for a place of sanctuary to meet with the Lord.

Exodus 25:1-2 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.
Exo 25:8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

Give out of love so that God gets the glory and needs of others are met and God can bless our lives for it.

2Co 9:7-12 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;

Biblical Principles Daily Devotionals Day 50

Why I Believe What I Believe

Day 50
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
God’s instructions to us has always been the same.  Teach others what God gave us in His word.
Exo 24:12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.

The Lord has commanded us to go, teach and recognize those who come to Christ. The work of salvation is the Lord’s not ours.

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
