Biblical Principles Daily Devotionals Day 132

Why I Believe What I Believe

Day 132
Biblical principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
The Lord does not remove all evil from our lives when we become one of His children. The Lord leaves some in our path to test whether or not we will obey His commandments. The test is not to give God information about us, as He already knows everything there is to know about everything. The test is to give information to us about us. When we know where we are we then can truly humble ourselves before God and trust Him for our lives path. Wrong choices bring consequences as will be seen in the book of Judges.
Judges 3:1-7, Now these are the nations which the Lord left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan; 2Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof; 3Namely, five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baalhermon unto the entering in of Hamath. 4And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of the Lord, which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses. 5And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites, Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites: 6And they took their daughters to be their wives, and gave their daughters to their sons, and served their gods. 7And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and forgat the Lord their God, and served Baalim and the groves.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical principle:
It is the trying in our lives that we see our faith grow to reach the earthly plan of God in our life, which is victorious Christian living.
James 1:2-6, My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
