Biblical Principles Daily Devotionals Day 21

Why I Believe What  I Believe

Day 21
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
Parents can give good and bad advice. But when the advice is based upon Scriptures it is always right.  The advice was not about picking a wife but keeping Jacob from turning away from God by joining to worldly ideas.

Gen 28:1 And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.
Gen 28:7 And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padanaram;

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

The principle is not that Christians are superior but simply heading in a different direction. Yoking causes each to go in the same direction.  If you are saved you are simply just heading in a different direction than those that are unsaved.  While walking the direction God is leading you, stop long enough to encourage those around you to change direction and walk with you.  Don’t stop and get caught up rush heading the wrong way.

2Co 6:14-18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
