Biblical Principles Daily Devotionals Day 97

Why I Believe What I Believe

Day 97
Biblical principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
God always gives the victory. We benefit from the victory when we do not get ahead of God. God promises to go before the people and destroy the enemy. Then, God gives instruction to destroy the enemy quickly. Truth: God has given victory; we must apply it to our life by being obedient to His commands.
Deuteronomy 9:1-3, Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven, 2A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak! 3Understand therefore this day, that the Lord thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the Lord hath said unto thee.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical principle:
God gives victory; we are to abound in the Lord and labor. The work will not be in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:57-58, But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
