Why I Believe What I Believe
God does not judge the wicked the same as the righteous. God also preserves the wicked when the righteous are present. The wicked are judged based upon their rejection of the truth seen in the righteous. The righteous are judged based upon what we do in our lifetime for rewards in heaven.
Genesis 18:23, 32 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? 32 And he said, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.
We need to be in the world to help preserve it from judgment, because judgment is final. However, we do not need to be of the world. If we become like Lot, in looking like the world, we become ineffective. Make yourself known in the world as salt and light.
John 15:17-19 These things I command you, that ye love one another. 18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
Matthew 5:13-16 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
