Biblical principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:

When we rebel against God, it could cost us an entire generation. Our disregard for God does hurt others.

Judges 13:1, And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical principle:

All it takes is for us to not see God as to who He is and we will do things we never thought were possible, this includes seeing things of this world as more important than God Himself. What are we teaching our children? No wonder we lose our children and an entire generation.

Romans 1:21-25, Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. ²²Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, ²³And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. ²⁴Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: ²⁵Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Biblical principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:

Sometimes God reminds us that our choices on who we choose to obey affects our situation in life. Being obedient to God and His commandments brings His protection and blessings. When we have forsaken Him, He will allow us to face the consequences to those decisions.

Judges 10:13-14, Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more. ¹⁴Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical principle:

When we follow the flesh, it leads us to serving the wrong authorities, which is seen as forsaking Him.

2 Peter 2:10-16, But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. ¹¹Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. ¹²But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; ¹³And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Biblical principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:

When we follow a man instead of God, we will always go back to worldly thinking when the man is no longer there. However, when we follow God’s man and remember we are being obedient to God we will continue to see victory. Even if the man of God forgets Who he is serving it will be his downfall. God-given authority to the man of God should always be remembered as God-given.

Judges 8:22-35, Then the men of Israel said unto Gideon, Rule thou over us, both thou, and thy son, and thy son's son also: for thou hast delivered us from the hand of Midian. ²³And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: the Lord shall rule over you. ²⁴And Gideon said unto them, I would desire a request of you, that ye would give me every man the earrings of his prey. (For they had golden earrings, because they were Ishmaelites.) ²⁵And they answered, We will willingly give them. Just because we start right does not mean we finish right. Just as the children of Israel saw great victories, they continued to go back to the flesh.

Galatians 3:1-3, O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? ²This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? ³Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
