Biblical Principles Daily Devotionals Day 94

Why I Believe What I Believe

Day 94
Biblical principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
Truth of the testimony of a believer is that the Lord brought us out of the world into victorious life with an eternal ending.
Deuteronomy 6:19-25, To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the Lord hath spoken. 20And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord our God hath commanded you? 21Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt; and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand: 22And the Lord shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes: 23And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers. 24And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. 25And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical principle:
The result of teaching truth is that our children gain answers for life and are not on the rollercoaster of life.
Ephesians 4:1-14, I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, 2With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. 7But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. 8Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. 9(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Biblical Principles Daily Devotionals Day 93

Why I Believe What I Believed

Day 93
Biblical principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
Truth: All parts of truth must be followed or none matters.
Step 1: Keep His commandments
Step 2: Teach the commandments to your children
Step 3: Forget Not the Lord when everything goes your way.

Deuteronomy 6:5-12, And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. 10And it shall be, when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, 11And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; 12Then beware lest thou forget the Lord, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical principle:
Following all the laws and telling everyone around you what they are does not help if you forget that all this is about the Lord, not how much you do. The leaven of the Pharisees is the religious acts with the tiny sin of pride.
Matthew 16:4-12, A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed. 5And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread. 6Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. 7And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread. 8Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? 9Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? 10Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? 11How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? 12Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Biblical Principles Daily Devotionals Day 92

Why I Believe What I Believe

Day 92
Biblical principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
Teaching absolute truth to our children is the most important thing in life. This teaching is the responsibility of the home, father/mother. The teaching is constant all day, every day.
Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:5And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical principle:
If we will take the time to teach at every moment of every day we will not provoke to anger. The anger comes from lake of teaching by word and deed.
Colossians 3:21, Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
