Why I Believe What I Believe
Day 66
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
There is a great difference between holy and unholy.
The Lord’s instructions to Aaron were to make it visible to the
people. First, Aaron was to do it by example by not drinking wine
or strong drink. Second, Aaron was to do it by teaching the truths of
God’s word to the people. The approach should be “do as I do and do as
God says”
Lev 10:8-11 And the LORD spake unto Aaron, saying,
Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with
thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it
shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and
between unclean and clean;
And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the
statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in
your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical
ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important
to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.
Our focus in serving the Lord is always about Him and
others. Our worship is also about the Lord and others, never about
us. How are you approaching today? For Him or For Yourself?
1Co 10:20-24 But I say, that the things which the
Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not
that ye should have fellowship with devils.
Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils:
ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not
expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
