Biblical Principles Daily Devotionals Day 65

Why I Believe What I Believe

Day 65
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:

From the surface, one person’s religious act may look like the real thing but in the end God judges and it is clear to all.  However, to the ones who are attempting a religious service with out listening to God’s instructions or just ignoring God’s instructions have no excuse or defense for their act.  Sincerity is not a defense.

Lev 9:22-24 And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.
And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people.
And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.
Lev 10:1-3 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.
And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.
Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

We need to be diligent to seek the Lord first and His direction in our worship before we just venture out with what we think is a good idea.  The Lord will judge our worship.  This judgment could be one of judging for a reward or judging for rebuke.

James 4:16-17 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
