Why I Believe What We Believed
Day 48
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
Our love for God as found in the first few
commandments but love can not be revealed without obedience to His
authority. God teaches us through earthly vessels a greater truth of Him.
Exo 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days
may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Ephesians 6:1 -3Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for
this is right.
Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment
with promise;
That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on
the earth.
Col 3:20 Children, obey your parents in all things:
for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
1John 4:20-21 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his
brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen,
how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth
God love his brother also.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in
your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical
ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important
to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.
Why do you obey all in authority? We should be
obedient so we can do things acceptable in the sight of God so others can see
the truth of salvation.
1Timothy 2:-41 I exhort therefore, that, first of all,
supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for
all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we
may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God
our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the
knowledge of the truth.
