Why I Believe What I Believe
Day 46
Biblical Principle- Absolute truth from God's Word
The second and third commandments are not about avoiding
worshiping statues and using foul language. These commandments are about
our love for the Lord as Jesus states in the New Testament. They remind
us that our worship of Him is never to be brought down to our level of
understanding, and we are never to call out to God and accuse Him of not being
big enough to get us out of our troubles.
Exodus 20:4-7 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven
image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or
that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the
earth.
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for
I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the
fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them
that hate me;
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and
keep my commandments.
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain;
for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.

Today are you following a list of do’s and don’ts or are we
walking by faith trusting that God is big enough.
Hebrews 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the
bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
