Day 184
Biblical Principle -
Absolute truth from God’s Word:
The fool is one who does not see there is a God. The reason they do not see is that they have
no understanding in their own mind of God.
Human reasoning will not come to God as the conclusion. The rejection of the truth of righteousness always takes us away from
God. The truth comes from the counsel of
the “poor”; those who realize they have nothing apart from God. To know there is a God one must realize they
is One who is greater then them.
Psalms 14:1-7 The fool hath said in his heart, There
is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is
none that doeth good.
The LORD looked down from heaven upon
the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and
seek God.
They are all gone aside, they are all
together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge?
who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.
There were they in great fear: for God is
in the generation of the righteous.
Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor,
because the LORD is his refuge.
Oh that the salvation of Israel were come
out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob
shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
Practical - Works
that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in
your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical
ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important
to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.
To be poor is to realize you have absolutely nothing. Salvation comes to those who put their
complete trust in the Lord. To be poor
is not someone who has less than someone else but someone who has nothing.
Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is
the kingdom of heaven.
