Why I Believe What I Believe
Day122:
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
God always provided for His children. This provision is
always exactly what is needed. Manna was great because it was what the
people needed at the time but more was now needed when they cross the Jordan
River. Both are provided by the Lord but the difference is based upon
where the children of Israel were in their walk. Before they walked in
the wilderness of judgment to knock off the past in Egypt (the world), after
was their walk in the promise land of victory in Christ. (milk-meat)
Joshua 5:10-12 And the children of Israel encamped in
Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at even in the
plains of Jericho.
And they did eat of the old corn of the land on the morrow
after the passover, unleavened cakes, and parched corn in the selfsame
day.
And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of
the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more;
but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in
your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical
ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important
to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.
Where are you walking, in the wilderness fighting off the
flesh and the world or walking by faith in victory? If you are
still looking for someone at church to feed you, then you are still in the
wilderness. If you are reaching out to feed someone else as a teacher
then you are walking in the promise land of victorious living.
