Why I Believe What I Believe
Day 72:
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
.God establishes authorities in all aspects of life, but God
desires to use all who will humble themselves. Being an authority is not
an end of the trail but a place that God puts people for His service.
Those not given authority are not relegated to a lesser role. God wants
all to serve and glorify God. Good leaders love it when others serve God;
it makes their responsibilities much easier.
Num 11:25-30 And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake
unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it
unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit
rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.
But there remained two of the men in the camp, the
name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the
spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but
went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.
And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad
and Medad do prophesy in the camp.
And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one
of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.
And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God
that all the LORD's people were prophets, and that the LORD would put
his spirit upon them!
And Moses gat him into the camp, he and the elders of
Israel.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in your
life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical
ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important
to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.
Submission, humbleness and surrender is the command of
all. Both those with God given authority and those who are to submit to
it are commanded to be humble. Being exalted does not mean you become the
authority but simply one God uses so others can see Him.
1Pe 5:1-7 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am
also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker
of the glory that shall be revealed:
Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the
oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre,
but of a ready mind;
Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being
ensamples to the flock.
And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a
crown of glory that fadeth not away.
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea,
all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for
God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God,
that he may exalt you in due time:
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
