Why I Believe What I Believe
Day 44
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
God keeps his promises even if it takes generations.
Exodus 17:13-16 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people
with the edge of the sword.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a
memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will
utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it
Jehovahnissi:
For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that the
LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.
Esther 9:24-25 tells of Haman the last of the Amalekites via
the Agagits some one thousand years later being destroyed.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in
your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical
ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important
to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.
God’s timing during troubles is His mercy and grace at work
not the opposite. Our thought process should always be focused on the
souls of those around us not the circumstances.
2Peter 3:8-9 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one
thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand
years as one day.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men
count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should
perish, but that all should come to repentance.
