Day 118
Biblical Principle -
Absolute truth from God’s Word:
The truth of who God is gets carried by people we may not be
aware of. Does the world know about our
God because of the great things He has done.
Consider this: if the people had
not walked across the Red Sea, had they not fought against the Amorites, what
would the reaction would have been when they approached the promise land?
Joshua 2:4 And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and
said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were:
Joshua 2:9-13 And she said unto the men, I know that the
LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that
all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.
For we have heard how the LORD
dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what
ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side
Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.
And as soon as we had heard these
things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in
any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven
above, and in earth beneath.
Now therefore, I pray you, swear
unto me by the LORD, since I have shewed you kindness, that ye will also shew
kindness unto my father's house, and give me a true token:
And that ye will save alive
my father, and my mother, and my brethren, and my sisters, and all that they
have, and deliver our lives from death.
Practical - Works
that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in
your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical
ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important
to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.
The entire purpose of following the Lord is so that a light
will shine toward the world. Scriptures
teach that when the world sees “our good works” the world can do nothing but to
glorify God. If we hide the light we will
not see victory in the promise land of victorious Christian living.
Mat 5:14-16 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is
set on an hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle,
and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all
that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before
men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in
heaven.
