Day 14
Biblical Principle -
Absolute truth from God’s Word:
God counts righteousness to those who believe in the LORD. This
is a short simple statement packed with so much truth. Abraham was shown the
heaven and the stars. This was not just to identify a number that the nation would
become. This was shown to Abraham to reveal how big the LORD is and how anything
told to Abraham was truth. When Abraham believed in this LORD, the greatest
beyond creation, righteousness was then counted to him.
Genesis 15:5-6 And he brought him forth abroad, and said,
Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and
he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. 6 And he believed in the LORD; and he
counted it to him for righteousness.
Practical - Works
that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in
your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical
ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important
to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.
Jesus refers to the world in more than one sense in John
3:16. God is the Creator of all the world; His love is based upon who He is. There
is a reason there is only one way of salvation. God is the only one who can
count righteousness to people; He is the creator of all. No one else can do
what God does.
John 3:16-21 For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to
condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned:
but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in
the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and
men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the
light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21
But he that doeth truth cometh to the
light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
How do you answer the question from others: what about all
the other religions? What makes what you believe better than their belief?
