Why I Believe What I Believe
Day 99
Biblical principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
God
is alone in who He is. All others, with any position in life, is subject to
Him. He is not looking for any reward from anyone. Nevertheless, the Lord shows
love for all, including the stranger, which we are to take as an example in
life.
Deuteronomy 10:17-19, For the Lord
your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a
terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: 18He doth
execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in
giving him food and raiment. 19Love ye therefore the stranger: for
ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical principle:
Find
a way to do the simplest thing for the least of those around you. Reward,
whether now or eternal, will follow.
Mark 9:41-42, For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my
name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his
reward. 42And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that
believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his
neck, and he were cast into the sea.
