Why I Believe What I Believe
Day 114
Biblical principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
Bible
doctrine is to be proclaimed throughout the entire earth. Bible doctrine is the
much-needed water for the plant of our life that needs truth to grow. God is
that doctrine. He is the truth. Doctrine is not just some stuffy preaching but
it is all about HIM.
Deuteronomy 32:1-4, Give ear, O ye
heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. 2My
doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the
small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass: 3Because
I will publish the name of the Lord:
ascribe ye greatness unto our God. 4He is the Rock, his work is
perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity,
just and right is he.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical principle:
Be
good ground and hear the Word of God. Break up your ground to receive the seed
and rain.
Hosea 10:12, Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up
your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain
righteousness upon you.
Luke 8:5-8, A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some
fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air
devoured it. 6And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was
sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. 7And some
fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. 8And
other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And
when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him
hear.
