Why I Believe What I Believe
Day 55
Biblical Principle - Absolute truth from God’s Word:
The Lord is merciful, gracious, longsuffering, and full of
goodness and truth but the Lord is also justice in judgment.
Exo 34:5-7 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood
with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD,
The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness
and truth,
Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and
transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty;
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's
children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
The Lord is merciful and judgmental at the same time and
completely right to do so. Judgement of sin and mercy for sinner.
Not easy for us but the LORD is our example. When we get jealous we get angry
and show no mercy. The Lord is jealous and loves even when administering
judgment.
Nah 1:2-3 God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the
LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his
adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.
The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and
will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the
whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
