Day 155
Biblical Principle -
Absolute truth from God’s Word:
The Lord promised Samuel that He
was looking for a king that was after His heart. So it should have not come as a surprise to
Samuel when the Lord said He was looking at the heart. The heart of humility, love, compassion,
obedience was in David’s heart a direct contrast to Saul.
1Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said
unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature;
because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man
looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
Practical - Works that apply Biblical Principle:
This section is for you to find a way to apply the truth in
your life. I will try to give only one as example; there may be other practical
ways. This is what makes the Christian walk so important and makes it important
to have a deliberate purpose in everything we do.
Truth, grace, mercy, peace, is always God’s plan. Walk in truth, love others, this is what the
Lord is still looking for in leaders.
2John 1:2-6 For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and
shall be with us for ever.
Grace be with you, mercy, and peace,
from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in
truth and love.
I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children
walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I
wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning,
that we love one another.
And this is love, that we walk after his
commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the
beginning, ye should walk in it.
